Light Weight Clay Insulation Brick Description

Light Weight Clay Insulation Brick is made of fire clay grog as the raw material and plastic clay as the binding agent then adding suitable combustible or foaming agent through firing. clay insulation blocks apparent porosity is high about 40~85% and bulk density is lower than 1.5 g/cm3. Clay insulation fire bricks are mainly used as insulation materials in industrial kiln to reduce heat loss of kiln, save energy and lighten the quality of thermal equipment.

Manufacturing Process of Light Weight Clay Insulation Brick

Light Weight Clay Insulation Brick are produced from high purity fire clay and binder, by sintering through high temperature. clay insulation blocks are low cost refractory insulation bricks with high performance. Main advantages of clay insulation block are high refractoriness under load, low line expansion coefficients, good thermal shock resistance and strong ability to resist erosion. Which is made of local top grade fireclay materials under the high temperature according to the lasted national standard, which possesses even bulk density, high strength, low thermal conductivity and low impurity.

Composition of Light Weight Clay Insulation Brick

Clay insulation firebrick is argillaceous product with about 30~40% Al2O3 content. which is made of 50% soft clay and 50% hard chamotte according to certain granularity need to blend and fired at 1300~1400 ℃ high temperature after moulding and drying. Clay insulation fire brick main mineral composition includes kaolinite (Al2O3·2SiO2·2H2O) and 6~7% impurities (K, Na, Ca, Ti, Fe oxide).
