Manufacturing Process of Magnesia Alumina Bricks

Magnesia alumina firebrick mainly use magnesia alumina spinel as matrix. In order to improve the thermal shock resistance of magnesia brick, fine powder of alumina or bauxite clinker is introduced in the batching to form magnesia alumina spinel matrix. Magnesia alumina fire brick has characteristic of good thermal shock resistance, high refractoriness under load, load softening temperature above 1580 ℃, good glass erosion resistance.

Composition of Magnesia Alumina Bricks

Magnesium alumina fire brick is a kind of spinel basic refractory contains about 85% MgO and 5% ~ 10% Al2O3. The crystalline phase of magnesium alumina firebrick is mainly composed of square magnesia stone and magnesia alumina spinel. The spinel aggregates after crystallization to form a crystal network, which makes the masonry structure compact.Because when making, do not use the aggregate of bulky granule, whole brick body structure is even, stoma disperses.
