Alumina Carbon Brick Process

Alumina carbon brick is made by adopting special grade bauxite clinker, corundum, graphite and mid alumina as main raw materials, combined with several kinds of super fine powder additives. Process of alumina carbon refractory brick is adding the Aluminum oxide, carbonaceous, silicon powder materials and small amounts of other raw materials to the raw material, then use asphalt, a binder, resin or after ingredients, mixing, pressing forming, around 1300 ℃ sintering in reducing atmosphere.

Classification of Alumina Carbon Brick

Alumina carbon brick can be divided into two classifications, magnesia alumina carbon brick and alumina magnesia carbon brick.

Magnesia alumina carbon brick, with high grade magnesite, corundum, spinel and graphite as raw materials, bonded by resin, are characterized by good slag resistance.

Alumina magnesia carbon brick, with high grade bauxite, corundum, spinel, high purity magnesite and graphite as raw materials, bonded by resin, are characterized by erosion and corrosion resistance, spalling resistance.

Alumina carbon brick is used for lining of bosh, stack and cooling wall of the blast furnace. Magnesia alumina carbon brick is mainly used for ladle upper and lower slag line. Alumina magnesia carbon brick is mainly used for ladle slag lining and bottom.
